A few weeks later, on July 23, 2019, Colin and Brooke officially became a couple. The relationship grew stronger with every passing day. College life gave them more opportunities to learn about each other’s dreams, quirks, and the little things that made them laugh. They spent weekends going on dates and spent quality time together at home.

The years flew by, and after they graduated in 2022, life started to feel like it was falling into place. Brooke began graduate school to get her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Colin always supported her by helping her study and by being her test subject for many of her exams.

Colin had always known Brooke was the one, but it wasn’t until June 4th of 2023 that he finally worked up the courage to ask her a question that had been on his heart for so long.

He took her back to Heisler’s Dairy Farm and Mini Golf, a place that held so many memories for them both. It was where their families had spent countless summers together, a spot they always returned to, year after year. As they walked the familiar path, Colin took her hand and led her to a quiet spot by the miniature golf course. The sun was setting, and everything felt just right.

“Brooke, will you marry me?”

Tears welled up in Brooke’s eyes as she said YES — her voice choked with emotion, but her smile wider than ever.
